Prepare for the elections Nov. 7
Monday, October 9th, 2006elections are coming up in November. Here you’ll find the language for propositions A through H in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese; http://www.houstontx.gov/2006election.html. I don’t know exactly what all these are referring to. There’s no link on the website directing people who have questions, so I guess if you do have any questions you can jut email the Mayor

Of course, you won’t be voting for all of those people, only the representative for your district. I believe that Near Northside is within Congressional District is 18. Sheila Jackson Lee is serving her sixth term as a member of the United States House of Representatives for the 18th Congressional District.
